Transitioning from yoga student to yoga teacher (video)

One of the cool things about the transition from yoga student to yoga teacher is starting to experience yoga through other people’s bodies and minds.

When you begin practicing yoga your focus is on your own direct experience – what the poses feel like in your body, what the breathwork feels like, how meditation makes you feel, how you relate to yoga philosophy

As you transition to being a yoga teacher you need to spend a lot of time thinking about how other people experience these practices.  And, how do your teaching skills reach different people, so your cues and demos and offering of regressions, progressions, versions, and props.

And that’s where practice teaching is really important, to start to see yoga through other people’s experience, and what other people’s bodies and minds can do.

That’s one of the cool things to me about teaching, and I hope you find it interesting too.

Hope that helps!
