Description
Side Lying Sequence
Free Core Yoga Download
This short 15-minute audio podcast features a side-lying sequence to introduce you to some of the key ‘core’ muscles of the hip, in particular focusing on the muscles that maintain the pelvis in neutral when we are standing on one leg, like Gluteus Maximus and Medius.
These key hip stabilizers are helpful in all that we do; maintaining pelvic stability when we walk, run, stand, and of course in our yoga practice, most particularly when we are balancing on one leg. Here are a few movements that can help to bring awareness and strengthen these ‘core’ muscles of the hip, enjoy!
Note: this sequence is best suited to those who are familiar with Core Yoga or Vinyasa Flow yoga. Before starting any movement program, check with your doctor or physical therapist.
