3-2-1 Chaturanga – Skills and Drills for Vinyasa Flow Yoga
In this short free yoga audio podcast I share one of my favorite exercises to explore Chaturanga Dandasana (Four Limbs Staff Pose) or ‘Low Push Up’ in the Sun Salutations. This exercise helps us to work on two issues that can arise in the practice, the stability of the shoulder blade, which is important for the safety and function of all arm balances, and the tendency to drop too quickly or too close to the ground, which will impact your ability to flow into Upward Facing Dog as the next pose in the sequence.
Add this 3-2-1 Chaturanga exercise to your practice to enhance stability, function, and technique.
