Introducing Sound Into Yoga Teaching – A Professional Development Intensive

Join associate trainer and Accessible Yoga Ambassador Sarah (Sare) Nuttridge in Canberra for a 3-hour workshop exploring the use of sound in yoga classes.

Bring the magic of sound to your yoga classes.

This 3-hour professional development workshop is designed specifically for yoga teachers and wellness practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of sound healing and confidently incorporate sound into their offerings.

We’ll begin with a 1-hour talk covering:

• The foundations of sound healing theory
• Client care and practitioner self-care
• Ethical considerations and post-session integration

Next, you’ll get hands-on experience with a range of instruments including metal singing bowls, tuning forks, Koshi chimes, ocean/rain instruments, and drums. Learn how different tools create different effects and how to choose the right sound for the right moment.

In the final hour, you’ll explore and share your own sound practice in a supportive group setting.

Whether you’re looking to enhance savasana, offer sound meditations, or simply add new dimensions to your teaching, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to begin.

Notes:

• We will be taking orders after the workshop should you wish to purchase your own bowls.
• You’re also welcome to bring your own metal or crystal bowls to use.
