Designed for yoga teachers, fitness professionals, and Pilates instructors, in this 55-hour, 2-weekend face-to-face continuing education program, you will study, practice, and learn to teach Core Yoga.
Core Yoga is a dynamic and accessible Yoga/Pilates fusion class that blends the energetic flow of yoga with the precision of modern Pilates to create a dynamic experience of mindful movement and meditation in motion.
Combining breath, awareness, core strengthening, and stretching techniques, Core Yoga aims to strengthen and mobilize the body, focus the mind, improve breathing and posture habits, and cultivate a practice of mindfulness in everyday life.
A very popular class in yoga studios, fitness and Pilates spaces, Core Yoga is accessible, adaptable, and attracts a wide variety of participants who are seeking the benefits of both the mindful movement of yoga as well as the core control and dynamic strengthening that the modern practice of Pilates offers.
This post-graduate course is open to yoga instructors, personal trainers, fitness instructors, Pilates instructors, and mind-body movement professionals interested in diversifying their teaching and sharing the benefits of mindful movement.

- guided Core Yoga practice
- pose-by-pose, flow-by-flow technique study
- 5 core concepts
- An introduction to the history of yoga and Pilates
- Anatomy for Core Yoga
- Teaching skills: cuing, correcting and adapting techniques
- Progressions, regressions, props, modifications and special populations
- The business of core yoga and the role of a teacher.

Associate Trainer Trish Cufone, owner, Yoga & Wellbeing Gawler:
Trish will be teaching your face-to-face sessions and sharing her 8 years’ experience in teaching yoga, Pilates, meditation, and mindful movement, as well as running a local yoga studio for 5 years. How to Register:
Register through the website at Yoga Trinity or complete the attached application and forward your application with an electronic payment with either a deposit or the full course fee for an Early Bird savings.
What should I bring to the class?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that moves easily with your body. Wear layers to keep you cool during practice, and warm during study hours. Bring note-taking materials (pen, paper), water bottle, lunch/snack. You will receive your hard copy manual on the first day of training.
Who can study Core Yoga Training?
This program is ideal for yoga, Pilates, and fitness professional seeking to upgrade their skills, diversify their teaching practice, and gain continuing education credits.
Who can practice Core Yoga?
Core Yoga is beneficial for the generally fit participants of all ages and backgrounds and can be a more accessible option for many. For students with existing low-back or musculoskeletal injuries medical clearance may be required. This is not a suitable practice for pre-natal students.
Is there any additional study?
Each day there is a short Q&A form to help you integrate the teachings of the day and receive feedback to enhance your practice and teaching. As well, your certificate will be complete once you complete an online quiz as well as 5 self-assessed practice teaching sessions.
Can I teach right away after this program?
If you are already a registered yoga, Pilates or fitness professional, yes, you can teach Core Yoga under your current professional membership/insurance. If you do not carry certification as a yoga or fitness professional, you will require a minimum of 200 hours of yoga study or your Certificate 3 in Fitness before you can teach professionally. Yes, you can. This program has 40 contact hours and 15 non-contact hours which you can use for CPDs/CECs with:
