Hello Friends,

I hope you are enjoying this Easter long weekend and all that it brings of time with family, time to rest, and of course time to enjoy the delicious taste of chocolate!

For me, in both of my ‘homes’ of Canada and Australia, Easter marks the start of a new season.  Change is in the air, and that makes change of all kinds a focus in our lives.

This is a great time of year for cleaning out closets and cleaning our homes, clearing out clutter from our pantries, gardens or desks, as well as clearing the clutter from our lives.  We can use this energy of change also to bring awareness to our yoga or meditation practice, exercise program, and eating habits to re-focus, update, and renew our commitment to daily practice.

Perhaps during this long weekend and the weeks that follow you might like to start a fresh practice journal to record and inspire your practice. Or, maybe you wish to make a fresh start with your diet (post-Easter chocolate is always a great time to take a sugar break!), or perhaps starting a new regime of walking in nature each day, or sitting in silence for a few moments is, for you, the best way to enhance your practice and your life.  Whatever you do, whether it is to sign up for a new class, buy a new DVD, or start a new personal development program – I hope you find that you can make great use of the energy of change to cleanse, renew, and inspire your life.
