Vinyasa Flow Immersion – Continuing Education for Yoga Instructors
In this 90-hour continuing education program you will practice, study and learn to teach a full 90 minute Vinyasa Flow Yoga class for all levels. This module of study is designed for yoga teachers who have completed a minimum of 200-hours training in any lineage/style and wish to further their yoga education, diversify their teaching, and add Vinyasa Flow Yoga to their practice and teaching. This program is run concurrently with our 285-Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training program, and offers 90 hours of continuing education credits to renew/upgrade your yoga registrations.
Vinyasa is a ‘progressive flow’, and this program offers an opportunity to progressively develop a yoga practice that offers the fitness benefits of strength, flexibility and balance in an environment of present-moment-focus that will enhance body awareness, posture, mental clarity, and breathwork.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga is grounded in the philosophy and practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, with techniques modified to be more accessible and beneficial for the modern practitioner. This training explores both the rich teachings of the traditional philosophies of Yoga and modern fitness and biomechanical principles in practice. This course is an ideal continuing education program for those wishing to deepen their personal practice and learn to teach this dynamic fusion class.
In this course you will learn:
• An introduction to the study and history of Vinyasa Flow Yoga
• 8 Limbs philosophy
• Anatomy for Yoga
• Asana Study for the full Vinyasa Flow sequence
• Cuing, Refining, and practice teaching each posture in the Vinyasa Flow sequence
5 Day Immersion: Runs over 5 days full time.
10 Day Immersion: Runs concurrently with our 285-Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training program.

How to Register:
To register please answer the questions in this application clearly and honestly, and forward your application with a cheque, money order or electronic payment with either a deposit or the full course fee for an “early bird savings” to your course coordinator.
What should I bring to the class?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that moves easily with your body. Wear layers to keep you cool during practice, and warm during study hours. Bring note-taking materials (pen, paper), water bottle, lunch/snack.
Where can I find accommodation?
For students traveling from out of the area our course coordinators can recommend accommodation for all budgets from shared backpacker accommodation to private holiday apartments. Speak to the course coordinator, and they can also help to pair you with another student from our course if you would like to share accommodation.

This program is open to yoga teachers from any lineage/style with a keen interest in practicing, studying, and teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Who can practice Vinyasa Flow Yoga?
Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a practice that is accessible to generally healthy participants of all ages and backgrounds. For students with existing medical or musculoskeletal injuries medical clearance may be required. This is not a suitable practice for pre-natal students with no prior Yoga experience.
How Many Hours is This Program?
This program will give you 55 hours of study and practice with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance. As well, use this program to upgrade your membership Yoga Australia from Provisional to Full and beyond. Is there any additional study?
Yes, upon completion of the contact portion of the program you will complete 5 documented practice teaching sessions with friends, family, or students. Your assignment is to teach 5 Vinyasa Flow classes suitable to the level of practice of your volunteer students and complete a documentation form. Once all 5 documented practice teaching sessions are complete you will receive your Certificate of Completion.
Can I teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga right away after this program?
If you are currently registered with a Yoga professional body like Yoga Australia or Yoga Alliance and/or carry professional indemnity insurance yes you can teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga right away.
