Ayurveda, yoga’s “sister science” of healing and longevity advises that your digestion is the first place to begin in creating vibrant good health.  And Ayurveda teaches us that our greatest pharmacy is found in the kitchen.  To improve your digestion with simple ingredients from your pantry try this Digestive Tea that will speed up sluggish digestion, improve the absorption of nutrients, and counteract the dampness of Spring/Autumn seasons.

Ingredients:
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 cardamom pod
optional – 3 slices of fresh ginger
3 cups boiling water.

Preparation:
Combine all spices in a tea pot/ball and pour in boiled water.  Steep for 10-15 minutes.  This tea is not about how much you drink, but how often – so sip frequently.  I like to put my tea in a thermos once it’s brewed so it stays hot for a few hours.  Enjoy!
