Which class is right for me?
If you are new to Yoga, Vinyasa Flow I and Core Yoga are good options to introduce you to the practice and help you build strength and flexibility. If you are already practicing Yoga and looking for a more challenging physical practice, and a more focussed approach to Yoga, Vinyasa Flow I-II can’t be beat!
Can I practice when I’m pregnant?
Core Yoga is not suitable for pre-natal students. Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga can be suitable for students who have a consistent practice with some modifications, so please just let us know ahead of time so we can keep your practice safe and effective.
What do I wear/bring?
Comfortable, breathable Yoga attire is best. Especially in the tropics, stretchy clothes that fit closer to your skin will serve you best. Bring a small towel to wipe sweat and to put between you and any props during class. No shoes are required. Please note that some students will be allergic to scents. Please come to class clean and scent-free.
Bring your Yoga/Pilates mat (studio mats are available to borrow or purchase). We provide blankets, bricks and straps, feel free to bring your personal meditation materials ie: eye pillow/blanket.
When do I eat?
Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Try not to have a large meal for 2 hours before practice. If you must eat, try to make it light and easily digestible. Do drink water before and after practice.
What do I do when I arrive at class?
Take off your shoes, turn off your phone, spread out your mat and enjoy your favourite stretches, or relax in a comfortable position. This gives you a chance to let go of the tensions of the day, and bring your awareness into the practice. Try to arrive a few minutes before class to enjoy this time.
